Picture of my finished half sleeve. This took about 16 hours in three separate sessions. I can honestly say that the pain was worth it after seeing how beautifully made the tattoo is. Done at Rakel Tattoo in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Philippines by Rakel Natividad.
my very first, two hour long, gigantic shark tattoo! when I went in to get it, I only had one reason for it as a physical representation of my nickname to one of my best friends. as I was getting it done, I thought about the two years prior that I waited to even get a tattoo in the first place because my dad didn’t want me to. I stood up to him the night before my appointment, telling him that it was my choice, that this was what I wanted it, and that I didn’t give a damn what he thought; he accepted all of that. after the tattoo was finished, I felt more confident in myself (more so than usual), I was proud of this choice and proud of myself for doing something on my own for a change.
